Basic Development Partners (BDP) is a non-profit organization arranges tree plantation program in each BDP working areas sponsored by Japan Asian Association & Asian Friendship Society (JAFS), Osaka, Japan.
The objectives of tree plantation are to make aware of the students regarding the importance of nature in our human lives. BDP thinks it is a part of education for the next generation. BDP distributed leaflets among the students and mothers group members regarding how to plant a sapling, protect them from animals. BDP also mentioned the necessity of trees. It produces oxygen and take off carbon dioxide, it provides fruits, keeps the weather cool and also it helps us economically when we are in need.
BDP distributed 5000 (five thousand) mango saplings among all BDP students and member of micro finance (one sapling for each) on June 20tyh, 2022. These trees are about 4 years old and hopefully from next year it will produce mangoes. Students and mothers group members are very much happy and they gave us commitment that they will take care of the plants.
BDP is very much grateful to our donor partners who always helps our students in continuing their education. There are some photographs of saplings distribution given below:
